Yvonne is a recent graduate (December 2021) of the MBA Healthcare Management program at Fayetteville State University. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Florida State University in 1999.  She is also an Army Veteran that served as an MP, and worked in higher education for 15 years. Yvonne’s most recent career change has allowed her to gain over 10 years of experience in healthcare quality and safety, accreditation services, performance improvement and data analytics. In 2021, she joined the North Carolina Healthcare Association (NCHA) as a performance improvement specialist. In this role, she assists 23 hospitals to improve the quality and safety of their services provided. 

Yvonne fully intends to become a game changer in the healthcare quality and safety field.  She is driven to make this world better than the way  she found it, and believes it will take the work of nurses, physicians, administrators, patients and families to make the healthcare system better. 

Yvonne is a proud single mother to four children and the owner of a small business.

For the Doctorate in Business Administration program at UNC Charlotte, Yvonne plans to apply diffusion of innovation principles to quality and safety best practice research to aid in the adoption of artificial intelligence/machine learning in the healthcare setting.
