Tyler Coker received his Bachelor’s in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources from the University of Mississippi. After his undergraduate studies, he pursued a Master’s in Human Resources from the University of Oklahoma.  Additionally, he holds a certificate from the University of South Florida in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) in the Workplace.  He is proud to be an active and certified member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM-CP).  Currently, Tyler is working at Honda Aircraft as a Sr. HRBP.  He is responsible for employee relations matters at levels and the company by performance coaching, promoting/ increasing morale, and improving diversity and equity in the workplace.

Tyler enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and any outdoor activity during his downtime. Tyler is pursuing his DBA to achieve a life goal by continuing to build his research skills and analytical thinking to improve on current Human Resources practices. In addition, he intends to continue as a change agent by bridging the gap between employees and strategic organizational objectives.

Tyler’s research interest encompasses studying an employee’s psychological safety concepts to assist in defining employee voice pattern development. Specifically looking at how employees experience previous traumatic incidents within a workplace setting (for example, incivility by leadership) and through the lens of social identities as well as stereotypes.
