Camelia Taheri is a bilingual global branding and business development faculty and consultant. After working with not-for-profit entities and multilateral organizations in Latin America, she obtained a Master in International Business from the University of Florida to be exposed to global experiences. Once in the U.S., she managed well-recognized prestige brands and multicultural teams throughout the Americas. After more than 15 years in corporate America and looking to have a greater impact in the community, Camelia decided to join the academia world where she has been a facilitator of globalized initiatives to boost cross-cultural exchange, innovation, and critical thinking. She has also served as Board of Directors for local nonprofits in Charlotte looking to support initiatives that will bridge cultures and increase social mobility in our community.

Camelia is pursuing a DBA to strengthen her expertise and leadership within academia, as well as increase her value and knowledge to expand her consulting services to small and medium sized entities within digital marketing and business development.

Camelia’s research interests include intercultural marketing and the influence of culture within social media marketing to successfully develop a brand and connect with the audience.
