Daisy Ortiz Berger is originally from the Bronx, New York, and currently lives in River Edge, New Jersey, with her husband Robert and children Maxon and Mikaylee. Daisy’s extensive marketing career includes both the automotive and financial services industries. At Ford Motor Company, she was a Marketing Manager for Ford International Operations covering Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands. While at Bank of America and Citibank, N.A., she served as a SVP, Director of Marketing, leading consumer retail programs and credit card acquisitions. She is also an adjunct marketing professor at Lehman College, City University of New York, and serves on the Lehman Foundation Board.

Daisy earned her MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Business Administration from Lehman College. Her certifications include Six Sigma Black Belt and Project Management Professional.

Daisy’s interest in pursuing a doctorate degree is a continuation of her research career, positioning her for a tenure-track teaching role at a university and for additional leadership roles. She wants to share her passion for consumer marketing and inspire students to learn how to develop creative marketing strategies.

Daisy intends to pursue research on emerging digital trends and data analytics — discovering how new digital trends are either improving the customer experience or leaving under-represented, minority consumers behind. Daisy is passionate about helping companies attract new consumers by understanding their unique purchasing behaviors.
