Austin Rutherford
DBA Alumnus Class of 2021
Business Transformation Manager, Ally

My academic studies began with my pursuit of a B.A in Theology from Cummins Theological Seminary. During this time I served as a minister in the Reformed Episcopal Church. In 2009, I decided to join the Marine Corps as a Korean interpreter. Since joining, I have earned an Associates in Korean Studies from the Defense Language Institute, a B.A.S from Wayland Baptist University, and a Master's in Project Management from Georgetown University.

Recently I joined Bank of America’s Global Technology and Operations Leadership Development Program as an Operations Consultant. The pursuit of a DBA is my formal commitment to becoming a subject matter expert in organizational design on my way to becoming a C.E.O. In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my wife and three amazing sons.

There are many exciting areas within the study of business. Of particular interest to me is the role organizational structure plays in achieving business objectives. As technology continues to make it easier to cross geographic, political, and cultural lines, I look forward to playing a part in designing and implementing solutions to facilitate global business.
